"Before I Formed You in the Womb I knew you."
When looking ahead, where do you envision yourself in ten years? My goal is to be fully present in each moment, no matter where I may be. I believe it’s fair to say that I will be engaged in my retirement, whether spending time with family, pursuing adventures, or writing. Remaining present is essential. In twenty years, it will still be "now." Each present moment makes up your life, regardless of where your physical body is located.
However, the soul is eternal and always accompanies you. I existed before my physical body, and I will continue to exist after it. Therefore, in the grand scheme of time, it doesn’t matter if it’s tomorrow or a million years from now; your soul will always be with you. You can detach from your body, but you can never separate from the essence of your identity. If you were without your body, you would have a much clearer understanding of who you are, as the physical senses would no longer be present.
You inhabit your temporary body within the constraints of time on Earth, but in the realm of the soul, there is no concept of time. This is why you can confidently assert, "I am," and no one else can. I cannot pinpoint my beginning and do not know where I will end, but I am aware that I will continue to exist in this state of being.
What is the benefit of understanding what is happening now compared to anticipating what will happen later? In reality, there is no "later" because life unfolds in the present moment. Living, having faith, and everything else occur in the now. However, in the physical world, we experience time as a timeline, which prompts us to plan for adulthood, a career, and possibly a family. Eventually, we begin to consider retirement and what happens after we die. This pattern is an inherent part of the human experience that cannot be ignored.
