Rain Is A Blessing For The Earth
Rain is a blessing for the earth; we cannot survive without it. However, excessive rain can lead to significant problems for many. I have witnessed basements flood, levees break, and people suffer. Despite this, we generally feel grateful when it rains. Yet, too much of even a good thing can be problematic, and we never know when the next flood might occur. Life continues, and we often move on, sometimes forgetting past events altogether. Life unfolds in every season, and we must learn to adapt to the changes that come our way. Embracing life's uncertainties does not signify weakness; rather, it is a testament to our resilience and adaptability.
You can find yourself in a precarious situation with your job, church, writing, and family. Things will stabilize again, and you will feel secure for a while. However, nothing stays the same forever; everything is meant to change and evolve, and some places change more than others. Of course, changes can sometimes be for the worse, which you don’t like either.
Some people may not appreciate the changes they see in you because it seems you’ve moved ahead in your evolution while they are still struggling behind. This can lead them to resent your progress and even throw metaphorical rocks at it. There will always be individuals who cannot celebrate someone else's success unless it aligns with their own interests. I’m sure they take issue with God about certain things too, holding Him in contempt because they don’t understand how limited one’s perspective can be.
Press on, with or without their support, and let bygones be bygones. Remember, “the wind blows where it wishes,” which is a metaphor for the unpredictability of life and the influence of external forces. Often, you won't know where it comes from or where it is going. Some may even try to control the wind. But as the saying goes, “it is what it is”—nothing more and nothing less.
No one can predict what will happen tomorrow or even the day after. It's important to take it one day at a time, living in the present and embracing life as the gift it is. Each day comes to you, and you decide how to handle what has been given.
They are coming, and no one can stop them. Has anyone ever truly stopped them? I’m talking about the scoffers and the mockers—those who always think the sky is falling. They tend to be pessimistic, always focusing on this and that without ever finding a deeper meaning in life.
But that's not you. You actively seek meaning at every turn, and you find that life becomes more meaningful with each experience. As for those who fail to see the beauty around them, perhaps they simply don’t want to. Let them be and offer words of wisdom when you can.
For those who are also searching for meaning in life, encourage them and celebrate their victories, no matter how small. Approach life with an expectant heart and a sense of gratitude for every opportunity along the way, and you will find that life treats you well. Yes, life will treat you well. Discovering meaning in every aspect of life isn’t just a choice; it’s a way of living that inspires and motivates us all.
