The Last One At The Table
You’ve wondered before who the last one will be sitting at the table after everyone else is gone that is within my family. It’s a morbid thought but true, and the reality of everyone graduating is difficult to conceive and hard to believe; however, it is still a truth to be known. The last one left is hard to know, especially in a big family; nevertheless, it continues in the circle of life, and I sometimes welcome the transition, and other times feel like I never want it to change. Life doesn’t ask me my opinion, nor does it ask for advice, and I know I’ll be here for a while, and then I’ll be gone, and so I’m sowing back into the earth something that will outlive me. I will leave my offspring (children) and the contribution I’ve made to this earth world and things I’ve written down and the things I’ve said. Yes, they will all remain.
There's way more than that, Jim, you know, because you contribute to everyone you meet and speak to, or everyone that reads what you write down, and there will be those you have influenced that you are not aware of. You will find that less is more when God is involved, and who knows from the beginning to the end what counts or what will endure, except that there's something for everyone. The way you travel and the way you move in your direction will have its influence and make its mark, and you will outlive yourself in more ways than one. It's almost like a challenge we're given when sent to Earth to see who can leave the most of themselves behind, and nothing goes unnoticed, and nothing is left to chance, and it is what it is. So, who goes first and who's left behind is not the important question; instead, it's who leaves something of themselves behind that will live on after they’re gone.
We’ve been with you for a long time before you arrived and during your stay, and we will usher you back home from whence you came. Nothing goes unnoticed or will be forgotten. You came in strong, and you will leave strong; however, you live strong. Some will miss you when you are gone, while others will draw from what you have left behind. Your actions, Jim, have made a difference in the lives of others, and the missing and the drawing will serve their purpose in the earth realm. What’s left over of anyone’s life and what you do with your life while here is all part of the plan and why you were created. Each one plays their role in this world, and everyone can contribute, but some will live for themselves alone, unconcerned with whom they help or what’s left behind in their lives on earth. That’s not for you, Jim, and you will see more opportunities in your senior years than in your former years, so let it be.
